Your thoughts on today's beautiful service are most welcome. Meanwhile, here are a few more pictures of Todd, courtesy of Mike and Tara Kesecker.
Here are Todd and Marilee, apparently getting "a little bit country":

Memorial Service Parking
The family would like everyone to know that parking at the church is in short supply, so please allow ample time to find street parking. Alternately, there is a public lot on El Camino Real, about two blocks south of the church.

Meals for the Family - Saturday 2/24 thru Saturday 3/3
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to bring a meal for the family. It's amazing how a such a simple thing can help make the day a little easier for Marilee.
If you can bring a meal for week 2, please leave a comment and I'll put you on the schedule. Several people are trying to click on the Google calendar (sidebar) to sign up, but it's only for viewing purposes. The best way to sign up is to e-mail me (vmontes@aol.com) or leave a comment.
Week 2 is a bit up in the air. It's possible that the memorial service may fall mid-week, and it's also possible that Marilee and the kids will—as tradition dictates!—join several neighborhood families for our annual snow/ski trip. I will contact everyone at least a day in advance to let them know if their meal is still needed. Thanks for your patience with this.

Memory Book
The Kesecker family is in the process of creating a memory album for Marilee and the kids. If you would like to contribute your fond, silly, and/or happy memories of Todd, please e-mail Tara via BuenaVCO@aol.com.
And while we're on the topic of memories, Chris Wallace found an article, In Memoriam: Todd Brooks, by Dan Primack. If you find similar links, please feel free to leave a comment.
Thank you.

Meals for the Family - Saturday 2/17 thru Friday 2/23
It's a huge relief to Marilee that she can focus on herself and the children without needing to worry about preparing or purchasing healthy meals. If you can, please help us fill out this schedule. Leave a comment, and I'll update this post as needed. I'm in the process of creating a Google calendar and will transfer the information to that format as soon as possible.
Grant loves chicken (chicken with rice soup, to be precise!), chili, pasta, and lasagne. At one time or another we have all enjoyed the Brooks' wonderful hospitality, so you know that Marilee loves healthy foods. Memorial Service
UPDATE: The date has not been finalized, but we do know that the service might be held mid-week the week of the 25th. Many of us are headed to Bear Valley from 3/2 - 3/5, so it will definitely not be held that weekend. I know this is vague, but hopefully it will help you a little with your calendars. I will update as soon as I hear anything.
Original post:
Hello everyone. Thank you for leaving messages for Marilee. I was with her this morning, and she is so thankful for the outpouring of support. She is also very happy that she'll be able to read the messages to the kids one day.
Many folks are—naturally—asking about details regarding the memorial service. The family has just begun that process, but as soon as the plans have been finalized, we will post them here, send e-mails, and make phone calls. All we know at this point is that the service would be held no sooner than next weekend.
If you're not comfortable leaving a comment or asking a question in this forum, please feel free to e-mail me (Veronica) at vmontes@aol.com. I promise to answer as soon as I can.
Thank you.

How To Leave a Message
Many friends and neighbors are wondering how they can best communicate with Marilee at this time. Rather than calling her at home, we suggest that you leave your messages for her here. Simply press the "comments" link below.
For now, you can do this without registering on the site. If, however, the blog begins to receive an excess of Spam comments, we will switch to a "registered users" only format.
Thank you.
